Elon Musk speech at the Trump rally
Elon Musk can make the best argument for Trump, and here is my draft
Elon Musk will be in attendance at the Trump rally in Butler, PA, on Saturday October 5. I don’t know if he intends to speak at the event or not, but if he will be speaking, here is what I think he ought to say:
I came here today in a last-ditch attempt to save our country from socialism and being invaded by perhaps over a billion people in short order. We only have 33 days left to prevent the historical equivalent of The Fall of Rome 2.0. I am not a man of fancy rhetoric and speechwriters, so let me get straight to the point.
I know that many of us who support Don Trump for President this year do not agree with him on everything, and have other objections to things that he may have said or done in the past. However, in politics everything is relative, and I must describe to you why the alternative is catastrophic, and therefore even if you think Trump is imperfect, he is still infinitely preferable to the alternative.
Invasion across the US border
The US is engaged in all sorts of border conflicts all over the world. It started already over a century ago, such as when the US sent troops to get involved in an obscure conflict between various countries in Europe in 1917. To this day, over 100 years later, nobody seems to understand what that war was all about, and why the US somehow needed to get involved. President Wilson had a thing about it though, and as a result thousands died and were injured.
US involvement in World War One and the peace treaty that followed was the direct cause of World War Two, which became an even bloodier affair, and “helped” the spread of communism into almost all continents of the world, flaring up in places such as Korea, Vietnam and Latin America in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
The US has now spent a century being obsessed with borders between other countries. Yet, for the last three years in particular -- January 2021 until now, October 2024 -- the US has been invaded by at least ten million people across its own border. We have almost no idea of how many they are, and even less of a clue who they really are.
For those of you old enough to remember the 9/11 Commission Report, published in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the top recommendation was that the US secures its border and researches every person entering the US extremely carefully. As it turns out, the US since 2021 has done an extreme version of the exact opposite: Let in an unlimited number of people, and perform zero useful background checks. Osama Bin Laden himself could have strolled into our country and nobody would have batted an eye.
It took only 19 terrorists to perform the 9/11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people. We now have at least 10 million new ones that have invaded our country. On a proportional basis, that would suggest that the people who invaded the US since January 2021 could kill 1.5 billion people -- more than every US citizen, period. This crazy open borders policy will eventually prove to be the stupidest decision any country has made in all of recorded history.
For this reason alone, you voting for Trump is the only sane choice, because the alternative is the certain destruction of our country and its civilization.
World War 3 starting with NATO expansion
Not since October 1962 has the world been this close to a nuclear conflict between powers that have several thousands each. Back in 1962, the USSR tried to expand its footprint into the US backyard in violation of the US Monroe Doctrine, which since 1823 has said that the US will not accept any major foreign power to establish a footprint in its backyard. As a result, the US threatened nuclear war if the USSR didn’t pull back. The USSR had the good sense to do so, and WW3 was averted. We were then available to live the next 30 years by not trying to expand into each others’ backyards.
Fast-forward to 1991. The USSR ceased to exist in 1991 and was replaced by Russia and a bunch of other newly independent states, including Ukraine. The US had won The Cold War, and therefore NATO’s mission had been accomplished. For a couple of years, until 1994, everything was fine. We had finally ended The Cold War and there was peace. Remember the peace dividend?
Yet, the US could not take yes for an answer. Russia was now a minor power and certainly not communist anymore. We had accomplished our goal of defeating imperial communism, and Russia was on its way to become a normal peaceful capitalist country.
In 1994, instead of abolishing NATO, the US started talking about expanding NATO, basically poking Russia in the eye with a sharp stick for no legitimate reason what-so-ever. This initial NATO expansion was completed in 1999. Russia now had a reason to distrust US intentions, just like the US became furious with the USSR in October 1962 when it found out that the USSR was stationing nukes on Cuba.
As a result of this US provocation -- expanding NATO in 1999 -- Russia switched leadership in 2000 from Boris Yeltsin to Vladimir Putin. Putin began to ask the US nicely to stop expanding NATO, and supported the US in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. Putin pointed out that the US and Russia are natural allies for cultural and economic reasons, and that we should be partners against jihad and socialism.
Once again, the US rebuffed Russia after 2000-2001 and responded to Russia’s proposal for a peaceful alliance by once again expanding NATO even closer to Russia. It was an incredible provocation, and from there the US just kept provoking year after year with more and more NATO expansion closer and closer to Russia until in December 2021 Russia had had enough after numerous warnings over two decades. Russia sent an ultimatum to the US and NATO to take any NATO membership for Ukraine off the table, both on paper and in practice.
The US with Biden and Harris at the helm rebuffed Russia and basically said that NATO membership for Ukraine was very much on the table and indeed inevitable, confirming Russia’s worst fears. Russia then had no alternative but to secure its most sensitive neighbor against a foreign military alliance, and hence the invasion of February 2022. It was the equivalent of what the US would have done to Cuba in October 1962 had the USSR not come to its senses and pulled back.
After February 2022, the US and NATO have rebuffed all peace proposals. Instead, the US and NATO have embarked on a policy of mass slaughter of perhaps hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine, refusing to accept a peace. It has been a total disaster, and all of those lives could have been spared. The damage to people and property alike has been devastating. If you understand the history of this conflict, you will understand that the source of the conflict resides in Washington DC, not Moscow.
And yet, the US refuses to give up on the NATO expansion provocations that started 1994-1999. Unless this NATO expansion stops, the inevitable outcome could be total war, World War 3. This would be horrible and perhaps end human civilization on Earth.
If you care about nothing else, you should care about preventing 4,000 nuclear bombs ending the lives of everyone you know and 300 million other Americans. We need peace with Russia and a return to our friendly relations with Russia that we had 1992-1993 when we were on track for eternal peace and prosperity.
Say what you want about Donald Trump, but he met with Putin and negotiated with Putin. There were no wars when Trump was President, whether with Russia or anyone else. Trump realizes that Russia is America’s natural friend and ally, not a comic book villain. We need Russia to help us with not only trade and engage in cultural exchange, but also as a bulwark against other powers.
Now, with Russia rebuffed by the US and NATO, Russia has been forced to make friends with countries that it naturally should dislike, and for good reason. This would not have happened if Russia had been America’s most important ally instead, just like it could have been after 1990-93. Russia was one of the first two countries to recognize Israel in 1948, for example.
In contrast, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are not meeting with Russia’s leaders. They are not negotiating. They don’t care about endangering our very existence with World War 3. As a result, we may end up destroying the world. We need to talk with Russia’s leaders, and neither Biden nor Harris are doing it.
If Trump wins, he will talk with Russia’s leaders, and we will have peace and prosperity with Russia immediately. This is the natural state of affairs, and it will avert World War 3. This may be the single most important reason you need to vote for Trump this time.
For those of you who would like a fuller historical description of what happened when the US went from winning The Cold War around 1990 to deciding to provoke the peaceful Russian bear after 1994 by poking a sharp stick into its eye, I recommend this interview by Tucker Carlson of Jeffrey Sachs, from a few months ago:
