What happens next: How Biden gets replaced

It’s straightforward, actually

The train has left the station.  It’s no longer a matter of if, but precisely how and when Biden gets replaced on the 2024 ticket.  

I’m sure you have all heard the argument by now: Replacing Biden is extremely difficult, almost impossible.  Even if it’s necessary, it almost can't be done.

Almost.

The point is that if something is important enough, it will be done -- even if it is “difficult.”  And at that point, it’s not really all that difficult.  What’s necessary tends to get done. 

In this case, there is nothing more important than the Presidency and all that entails for The US Congress and The US Supreme Court.  The top Democrats will make the rational and cold decision that because nothing is more important than keeping the Presidency, it will be done.  

And this is my story of how this Biden swap will unfold.

Pre June 27: A different timeline

I have written several times over the last three years that Biden would be replaced within two weeks after the Democrat National Convention that ends on August 23, 2024.  Why after?  Because that would allow for a Board of Directors decision of the DNC regarding the new ticket, instead of having any direct voter input.  There would be no “floor fight” at the Chicago convention, or any negotiations before.  

Doing it that way also would have made it easy to get rid of Kamala Harris.  She obviously also has to go, or at least they need the option of kicking her to the curb.  

Regardless, this means no floor fight, no pain, no ideological struggle.  It was a medical decision, basically.  Biden is out -- Newsom, Whitmer or Shapiro is in.  Case closed. 

The June 27 disaster debate changed the timeline

What I did not anticipate over the last couple of years was that Biden would call for a debate, and that this debate would take place already in June.  That was not on my bingo card.  This happened on May 14.  Trump was seemingly foolish to accept Biden’s onerous terms, but it turned out that those fears were totally unfounded.  The CNN moderators turned out to be reasonably fair, which shocked me.  

I also did not anticipate that Biden would present this poorly in the debate.  We all knew Biden was extremely weak, but this shockingly poor performance was not on the bingo card.  I thought the meds would have him pumped up more.  

Immediately after the debate ended, CNN’s own panel -- stacked mostly with loyal leftists -- all sounded like Republicans: Biden was a disaster, and he must go.  Folks, this is over: 

 

The Biden swap must now happen before the August convention

My plan to have Biden replaced immediately after the August 23, 2024, nomination is no longer the most likely scenario.  In politics, a week is an eternity and we are now on June 28.  Within one week from now, the pressure on Biden to step aside will have become too great.  You just cannot hold a convention in the third week in August pretending that Biden will be the nominee.  

The Democrat Party cannot hold together with Biden at the 2024 ticket helm until the August 19-23 convention in Chicago.  It is about to break apart in time for the July 4 weekend.  

The calls from Obama, Pelosi et al

But as a practical matter, how does Joe Biden get pushed out?  The calls for his resignation from the ticket didn’t take hours, only minutes.  It has come from virtually every journalist and pundit, including some of the hardest-core democrats of them all.  This is unprecedented. 

We just have not heard from the heaviest democrat guns yet.  Illinois Governor Pritzker and Michigan Governor Whitmer were not in Atlanta last night.  They were smart enough to know this was going to be a disaster.  Only California Governor Newsom, who enjoys seeing himself on television more than anyone, was there.  Newsom truly is the most talented liar in the country, because his take on Biden after the debate was that everything was fine.  Sort of like crime in California.  

We have all seen how the German regime dispensed with General Rommel in October 1944.  It was done quietly behind the scenes, to avoid any public commotion and protest.  This is how The Deep State will deal with Biden as well, in the coming few short days.  Obama, Pelosi and Clinton, perhaps with some help from Chuck Schumer, will “have a word” with Biden.  They will tell him “Step aside, or else.”  

And at the end of that conversation, Joe and Jill will realize that they have no escape path.  Their reputations will be sullied in the history books unless they board the car within days. 

Biden will read the same lines as President Lyndon Baines Johnson did on live television in March 1968.  He will be off the ticket.  

This may not happen in the next couple of days, but odds are that it will happen well before the August convention, not shortly after, as I had anticipated before the June 27 debate.  They need at least a week or two to set up the procedure at the convention.  It will be 1952 yet again! (for those of you who remember that Democrat convention). 

Painful and messy -- but necessary and therefore worth it

I keep being told that the democrats can’t do this.  They can’t open up the nomination to be decided at the convention, they say.  This is nonsense.  It has been done numerous times before (1924 also comes to mind) and it will be done again.  

The reason it will be done again in 2024 is because it is the only path to democrat victory in November.  If it is necessary, it will be done.  It’s like surgery: It’s painful to think about it, but once you have it done, the result can not only be life-saving, but also extremely beneficial to your active life.  

The trade is simple:

1. A messy convention in Chicago.

2. Win in November.

In contrast: 

1. No contest in Chicago.

2. Lose in November. 

Anyone who thinks about it rationally will choose the former option: A messy convention, followed by a win in November.  What’s the big deal, really?  No pain, no gain. 

How do you solve a problem like Kamala? 

Before June 27, I would have said that the problem of Kamala was at least a little delicate.  Mind you, not delicate in the normal world.  In the normal world, airhead Kamala would be cleaning the toilets at McDonald’s.  

Rather, this is the democrat party, where identity politics and the lowest possible IQ are celebrated traits.  Therefore, they would rather avoid having to demote Kamala, for DEI purposes. 

But even for Kamala, June 27 changed everything.  She has spent four years side by side with Joe Biden, ensuring us that he is sharp as a tack, totally youthful.  Many of us knew this was an extreme lie, but now everyone knows.  Kamala lied to us all along.  It’s just like the C-19 vaccine: It was all a lie. Heck, C-19 itself was a lie -- it was just the latest version of the annual flu, and all the masks and school closings were counterproductive, aside from being tyrannical. 

But I digress.  Back to Kamala.

The Deep State -- Obama, Pelosi, CIA et al -- need to have Kamala pay a price for her lies about Biden’s “sharpness.”  She can no longer be on the 2024 ticket.  Make her Governor of California or something.  That was her career path anyway, before 2020.  Just enough to keep her from spilling the beans on the internal corruption, but sufficient to remove her low-IQ embarrassment from the national ticket.  

So there you have it

1. Obama and Pelosi tell Biden it’s over.

2. Biden releases his delegates for the convention.

3. The convention votes for a new ticket.

4. Democrats win against Trump in November.  

How is this difficult to understand?  It’s actually pretty straightforward.  

The only problem for the Democrats is what appears to be an unlikely one right now: Trump stepping aside also.  Trump is the only Republican who could lose against a Democrat in 2024.  Any other Republican would be a tough nut to crack for any Democrat in 2024. 

But so what?  Regardless of whether it’s Trump or someone else at the top of the Republican ticket, anyone other than Biden would do better.  That’s why Biden is out no matter what.  And unless Trump also steps aside -- there are still a couple of weeks left -- this means the Democrats are almost guaranteed to win in November.  

Biden is gone.  The question is whether Trump will now do the right thing too.  I don’t see any signs that he will.  Congratulations, President Newsom.
